1. Kanchan Ugursandi
Hailing from an Adivasi tribal background in Saraikela, Jharkhand, Kanchan Ugursandi has earned the nicknames "Border Girl" and "Bike Girl" for her adventurous spirit. She began her motorcycling journey in 2019 and has since undertaken numerous solo expeditions across North India. Notably, in June 2021, she became the first solo female biker to scale Umling La in Ladakh, situated at 19,300 feet. In November 2024, she achieved another milestone by reaching Lipulekh Pass at 17,500 feet, becoming the first motorcyclist to do so.
2. Pallavi Fauzdar
Born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, Pallavi Fauzdar is renowned for her high-altitude motorcycle expeditions. She began riding at the age of 14 and has since achieved several records. In 2015, she became the first woman to ride solo to Mana Pass at an altitude of 18,774 feet. She also holds the distinction of being the first motorcyclist to ride to Umling La Pass at 19,323 feet in 2017.
